ACT Board of Supervisors Meeting

Members Present: Chairman Dave Nehring; Assessor, Mark Splonskowski; Building Inspector, Greg Hillig; Clerk, Cyndy Meidinger; Treasurer, Jamie Vetsch; Weed Board, Terry Mauch; Zoning Board, Jerry Kunz

 

Members Absent: Supervisor, Mark Springer and Zoning Board Rick Solberg

 

Chairman Nehring opened the meeting and said due to a lack of a quorum no business could be done.

 

Assessor’s Report: Assessor Splonskowski said assessing was going well. Mees Addition re-evaluation is complete, and he is working on the building permits.

 

Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Vetsch reported the balance for checking to be $181,588.81 and a savings balance of $186,930.24 she also had to pay 3rd Qtr. payroll and bring the Township up to date with the US Treasury. Clerk Meidinger said she talked to Supervisor Springer and since he was unable to attend the meeting he gave his proxy to Clerk Meidinger to vote for bill payment. After review of bills to pay Clerk Meidinger made a motion to pay all bills submitted. Chairman Nehring 2nd the motion. The motion was unanimously approved.

Building Inspector’s Report: Inspector Hillig issued 3 building permits for September:

  2. #2018-14 Cory Huez, 11009 Lakeview horse shelter 18'x12'x8'  216 sq. ft. valuation of work $4,536.00 permit fee $89.00 pd check #1091
  3. #2018-15 Jeff Bolte, 1201 100th St 30'x20'x12' pole barn with 10'x12' overhang sq ft is 600' valuation of work $16,000.00 permit fee is #192.07 pd check #4831

The total taxable valuation for September is $41,811.00 total permit fees are $504.06

Chairman Nehring said Ken Selzler would be filling Supervisor Zent’s term. He sold his place in Montana and is in the process of moving back to ACT. There was some discussion on the City Lincoln expanding their territorial zoning, but no action was taken. The township will have to keep an eye on the progress of this possible land expansion by Lincoln.

With no further discussion Chairman Nehring adjourned the meeting.
