ACT Board of Supervisors Meeting

ACT May 2 Meeting Minutes
In attendance for regular meeting: Jerry Kunz, Eric Richard, Mark Springer, Monte Sicble, Stephen Schnaible.
7:00pm Call to Order
Minutes were reviewed an approved by board.
Mark Springer motioned to approve the minutes from April meeting.
Monte Sicble 2nd the motion
Board voted and all approved the motion to approve the minutes from last meeting.
Ty Hauglie, Apple Creek Country Club
Mark Springer motioned to approve the liquor license.
Monte Sicble 2nd the motion
Board voted and all approved the motion to approve the liquor license for Apple Creek Country Club.
Mitch Flanagan - Burleigh County Zoning - New FEMA maps coming out in 2024. Please contact Mitch for more information.
School board report - Roy was absent, nothing to report.
Treasurer Report - Jamie had two checks to approve.
Burleigh County $3,879.31
Lawyer 324.78
Mark Springer motioned to approve both bills.
Monte Sicble 2nd motion
All board members voted to approve the motion to pay both bills.
Assessor Report - Nothing to note from Mark Splonskowki.
Building Inspectors Report - Turned over to country. Go to county to fill out the paperwork for a permit. They will handle the paperwork and ACT will give final approval.
Mark Springer made a motion to approve this format with the county.
Monte Sicble 2nd the motion
All board members voted to approve this permit format with the county.
Road Supervisor Report - be on the lookout flood management for roadways and report damage appropriately. Nothing major to report at this time.
Weed Board Report - county has not named a weed officer yet. If you have questions contact Terry, he will forward to the appropriate people until a weed officer is named.
Zoning Board
-Update on Terry Hoerer property. Lawyer approved verbiage to be sent to Hoerer’s, which was done. Hoerer’s have until May 21st to have it cleaned up.
-Don Hawkinson - Nuisance vehicles on neighbors property (Jacobson's)
Eric Richards is going to talk to Jacobson’s and see if they can find a compromise first.
-CO2 Pipeline (Discussion) - Much discussion was had as to whether or not some action should
be taken by ACT.
The following verbiage was agreed upon to vote on.
“The Apple Creek Township officially opposes eminent domain for the Summit carbon
solution pipeline within Apple Creek Township, North Dakota.”
Jerry Kunz made a motion to approve this verbiage.
Monte 2nd the motion.
Monte voted Yes.
Eric voted Yes.
Mark voted to abstain.
July 11th meeting is discovered to be at the same time as the school board.
Mark made a motion to move the meeting to July 5th
All agreed to move the meeting to July 5th.
