 Regular Meeting February 3rd, 2014 7:00 PM

Members present: Kerry Olson, - Chairman, Ken Selzler,- Supervisor, Jerry Kunz - Zoning Board Member, Terry Mauch - Weed Board, Greg Hillig - Building Inspector, Loren Wolf - Road Supervisor, Ann Willoughby- Clerk, Cole Shantz - Assessor, Rick Solberg, Zoning Board

Members absent: Paul Zent – Supervisor, Mike Schwartz

Treasurer Chairman Olson opened the meeting. Chairman Olson made a motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Supervisor Selzler seconded the motion. The motion passed with Chairman Olson and Supervisor Selzler voting in favor.

School board Report: School board would like to connect two of the portables with a bathroom. Since the cost will be over $75,000 the construction will be opened up for bids. Of note Apple Creek School did not gain or lose any students when the Lincoln elementary school opened in January.

Zoning Board Report: No report. Assessor’s report: Some property’s in the township has been assessed at 50% higher than previous assessment. There will be a tax equalization board on the 15th of April. Meeting will be held only long enough to the adjourn to the 17th of April. Appointments will be scheduled from 4:30 PM backward to 8:15 AM. More information to follow on the tax equalization meeting as the date gets closer. Abatements approved for the following properties: Bottsford, Mickelson, Nicole and Mason Lengenfelder, John and Diane Chairman Olson made a motion to approve the abatements. Supervisor Selzler seconded the motion. The motion passed with Supervisor Selzler and Chairman Olson voting in favor.

Building Inspector’s Report: Inspections conducted: one framing, two gas lines and 2 final constructions. Pole barn on Mauch property may need a variance depending on the square footage. Pole barn may need a permit. Supervisor Selzler will confirm the requirement.

Road Supervisor’s Report: Reports of people pushing snow across roadways. Pushing snow across the road way is prohibited and creates a safety hazard. Sand is working on hill by North Gate.

Weed report – No report

Treasures’ Report: Two bills: Burleigh County for “mag” application on 5th AVE and Apple Creek Road, $4918.54; $100 for annual post office box rent. Supervisor Selzler made a motion to pay bills.

Chairman Olson seconded the motion. The motion passed with Supervisor Selzler and Chairman Olson voting in favor. Other Business Supervisor Selzler made a motion to double the hourly wage paid to the township building inspector. Chairman Olson seconded the motion. Chairman Olson and Supervisor Selzler are in agreement and motions passed.
